Course Overview

From a potential claim to its resolution.

Construction projects frequently encounter changes, delays, disruptions, unforeseen conditions, and other events that may give rise to contractual claims.

Effective claims management requires an understanding of contractual entitlement, notice requirements, causation, supporting records, substantiation, and claims procedures.

This practical course focuses on the complete construction claims management process, from identifying a potential claim to preparing submissions, evaluating claims, negotiating settlements, and understanding dispute resolution mechanisms.

Particular attention will be given to FIDIC-based contractual procedures and the practical documentation required to support construction claims.

The course will complement technical delay analysis training by emphasizing contractual and commercial claims management rather than detailed forensic scheduling methodologies. Technical step-by-step delay analysis is not covered in this course.
