Course Overview

From a single completion date to probabilistic forecasts.

Traditional project schedules typically present a single forecast completion date. However, construction projects are affected by uncertainty in activity durations, productivity, procurement, resources, and external events.

Schedule Risk Analysis helps project teams understand the probability of achieving planned milestones and identify the risks most likely to affect project completion.

This practical course will introduce quantitative schedule risk analysis techniques, including duration uncertainty, discrete risk events, Monte Carlo simulation, confidence levels, sensitivity analysis, and schedule contingency assessment.

Participants will learn how to interpret risk analysis results and translate them into meaningful project management decisions.

The training is intended to demonstrate these techniques using construction schedules and relevant risk-analysis software.
